Our program and curriculum

At STEAM Play Lab, we believe early childhood is the foundation for lifelong learning. Discover our unique approach to nurturing young minds.

Our educational philosophy

Our program combines structured routines, bilingual language immersion (English & Spanish), and hands-on STEAM exploration to support cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development in a nurturing home setting. We focus on intentional early education—not passive care—building strong foundations in literacy, math, critical thinking, and confidence from the earliest years.

Bilingual immersion

Children are immersed in both English and Spanish, fostering early language development and cognitive flexibility.

Hands-on STEAM

Engaging activities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics spark curiosity and critical thinking.

Foundational learning

We build strong literacy, math, and problem-solving skills, preparing children for future academic success.

Infants (6–18 months)

During infancy, learning happens through sensory exploration, movement, and responsive interaction. Our infant program focuses on:

  • Language-rich communication in English and Spanish
  • Tummy time and gross motor development
  • Sensory exploration and cause-and-effect discovery
  • Secure attachment and emotional development
  • Individualized routines within a structured environment

We respect each child’s developmental pace while providing consistent structure and nurturing care.

Young toddlers (18–24 months)

At this stage, children begin developing independence, mobility, and early language skills. Our curriculum supports:

  • Vocabulary expansion in both languages
  • Fine motor and coordination development
  • Early problem-solving through guided play
  • Simple STEAM discovery experiences
  • Social skill development and self-regulation

Daily routines provide predictability while encouraging safe exploration and growing independence.

Toddlers & Preschool (2–5 years)

Our older toddlers and preschoolers participate in structured, developmentally appropriate learning blocks that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. Our curriculum includes:

  • Early literacy foundations (phonological awareness, letter recognition)
  • Foundational math concepts (counting, patterns, number sense)
  • Hands-on STEAM exploration (science experiments, building challenges, art integration)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Social-emotional learning and executive function skills
